Beauty Blogger Bio Part I

Let me start off by briefly introducing myself and also letting you ladies [& possibly any male readers] know why I'm here. 


Hi, my name is Shayah. I'm a Greek-Canadian 26-year-old and I have an addiction. 

No, seriously. I possess a truly, madly, deeply passionate love for two things that cannot talk back to me; 

1. Cosmetics and Skincare 
2. Writing 

In an effort to make this post NOT sound like a cover letter, I will break down my professional and non-professional work history. 

A few years prior to my job now, I worked in a Beauty Boutique for 2.5 years. Along with knowing about each product from each line, I was the Line Captain for Lise Watier cosmetics. Throughout this time, I was sent to schools and seminars [on a frequent basis] in the Toronto area to learn about all aspects of cosmetics and skincare, new launches, and tips & tricks. That and I also scored awesome freebies  all. the. time. Yes, I'm rubbing it in because I miss it. 

So yes, in my opinion, that is where my "professional" experience ends. Haha. That sounds bad but keep reading. 

When I decided to move in with my boyfriend, I left my hometown and took the first job in "cosmetics" that I could score. The Body Shop. Now, I'm not hating on The Body Shop by any means, I just don't think I really learned anything new or expanded my experience all that much. With that being said I have done a few makeovers for Weddings, parties and social events and apply makeup on myself basically EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. This brings me to why I'm here. 

You're probably thinking - that's it? That's all the experience this broad has? Well, let me tell you something; I am like a fine wine, baby... I only get better with age. *Readers roll eyes at cliché Wine quote.* 

Honestly, throughout the years I have only gotten way freaking awesomer with makeup application. I have also gained an extraordinarily vast amount of knowledge about cosmetics and skincare through research and experience. 

So, I'm here because I want to share the wealth.

I want to let you in on secrets that I've been keeping stored in my brain for as long as I've discovered them.

I want to tell you how...
I cured my cystic acne using all natural ingredients/products.
I can go 4 days without washing my hair without it looking greasy..heck, even longer if I'm feeling really crazy. By the way, if you think that's gross, I suggest you never visit this page again because I am not gross.. I am...hair savvy, okay? Okay.  
I get a flawless foundation application using drugstore products and/or high-end products.
I diminished my hyper-pigmentation, scarring and sun damage. 
I get an awesome sunless tan at home.. and sooooo much more.
